Luke Creasy hired as interim director of worship ministries
Yesterday, we announced the hiring of Luke Creasy as our interim director of worship ministries. Church council conducted two interviews with Luke and after seeking God’s will together, voted to offer him this position until the end of October. At the end of this time period we plan to ask Luke, the worship team and the church to evaluate how he fits in this role with the possibility of asking the church to place him in this position permanently. We are excited to see how God works through Luke over the next two months!
Church council recommends to increase Zach Stevens to a full time staff member
We also announced that Church Council has recommended a full time schedule (40 hours per week) and salary for Zach Stevens as director of children and family ministries. Zach’s position was created as a full time position in 2017 but the funds were not available to pay him a full time salary, so he was hired as a part time staff member. After seeing God provide the funds to increase his role and pay, Council approved this change in July and then realized according to the church’s bylaws, the congregation needs to vote on this. We will have a special business meeting next Sunday, Aug. 11 at the end of the morning worship service to vote on this change and we encourage all members to be present. Members of church council have sought God together to bring this recommendation, and we also encourage each member to pray and seek God’s will regarding this as well. Zach has been a great addition to our staff, and we believe God desires to do even more in and through him here at Pea Ridge Baptist.
